Who we are

Maciej Laskowski and Tomasz Michalak - two independent sole traders (jednoosobowa działalność gospodarcza) registered in Poland - run handsonarchitects.com together and are joint controllers of the personal data you send us through this form.

We both receive the messages sent through it and either of us may reply. You can exercise any of your rights against either of us, and reach us about anything in this notice, at contact@handsonarchitects.com.

Why we process it and on what basis

We use what you send us to read your enquiry and reply to it. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our work (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Our legitimate interest

Our legitimate interest is being able to read and answer messages sent to us by people interested in our work.

Who else sees it

Netlify, Inc. (512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA) hosts this site and handles form submissions on our instructions - it stores your message in our account and emails it to us.

Netlify's documentation states that all form submissions are passed through an automated spam-filtering service before they reach us. Netlify does not currently list that service on its published sub-processor page; from its documentation we understand it to be Akismet, operated by Automattic. We do not disclose your message to anyone else.

Where it goes

Your message is processed in the United States.

• Netlify, Inc. is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; where that framework does not apply, Netlify's Data Processing Agreement provides for the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Decision 2021/914) as a fallback safeguard.
• Akismet publishes that it relies on the Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EU. It does not publish the countries its spam-filtering servers are located in.

You can ask us for a copy of these safeguards at contact@handsonarchitects.com.

How long we keep it

We keep your message for 12 months after our last exchange about it, in the places we control - our Netlify account and our own mailboxes. After that we delete it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you; ask us to correct it if it is wrong; ask us to delete it; ask us to restrict what we do with it; ask for it in a portable format; and object to our processing it. To do any of these, email contact@handsonarchitects.com. We will reply within one month, and it costs you nothing.

Your right to object. Because we process your enquiry on the basis of our legitimate interest, you can object to that processing at any time, and we will stop unless we have compelling grounds that override your interests. You do not need to give a reason.

Complaints

If you think we have handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to a data protection supervisory authority - in our case the Polish Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa) - or the authority in the EU country where you live, work, or where you think the problem happened. We would rather you told us first: contact@handsonarchitects.com.

What you have to fill in

Name, email and message are required - without them we cannot reply. Company and topic are optional and only help us route your enquiry. You do not have to use this form at all: you can email us directly at contact@handsonarchitects.com instead.

Automated processing

Messages sent through this form are automatically checked for spam before they reach us. A message wrongly classified as spam may not reach us. If you do not hear back within 2 business days, email us directly at contact@handsonarchitects.com. We do not make any automated decisions about you that produce legal effects or similarly significantly affect you.
